This is the car that has been in my garage for the longest. Came out of a barn on the hill above Laurelwood near Gaston. I am the 4th owner and with copies of registrations in the glove box it was in the Bend area for a while prior to going to Laurelwood and it got it's first owner near 198th and Farmington road in 1948 (about 2 miles from where it is in my garage right now). It has had a few lives. I restored the cars mechanical components rebuilding the old 6 cylinder, added new stock suspension and converted all the electrical to 12 volt. Having done that I was impressed to take the car to another level. From a 1972 Valarie the torsion bar front end was added along with the V-8 and rear end. The car was painted the deep Blue that it was painted in 1948. All the window garnish and dash were re-wood grained and the stainless straightened and polished. After all that the car has set under a cover in the garage as my goal was to give my Dad a ride in it before he died - I didn't make it. I am going to get back on this and FINISH it in "His Memory" and I will be having a Great Grand Son who will get that ride. I now have a 1948 Plymouth that I am using to help in the finishing of the car. My goal is that the car is finished and driving in 2018 - "THIS YEAR" - Again with the help of a lot of Friends this will happen. THANKS - Stan, Dan and Joe.
